Families in the High Atlas Mountain villages we visit still face the consequences of the earthquake. In Iloilo, pressures on rice harvests threaten food and income, and malnutrition remains a serious concern. School Aid responds with children’s digital learning and women’s literacy and practical livelihood education.
We deliver practical support in person and work with local trainers and communities. Morocco and the Philippines have separate programmes, budgets and reporting.
Completed work
The work began during David and Maribeth de Montaigne’s personal journey through Morocco in March–April 2024. School Aid MTÜ was registered on 14 October 2024. Return visits in November 2024 and January 2025 developed direct and community-led school-supply deliveries.

Current preparation
Our Morocco programme starts in Ijoukak: nine laptops with solar support and nine months of literacy and livelihood education for fifty women, including beekeeping. The first target is €33,777; the six-location programme target is €202,660.
In Cabalabaguan, Mina, the first Philippines programme combines six laptops, solar backup, school materials and onsite training with education for fifty women farmers at Mina TESDA Center. The first target is €34,312; the five-barangay programme target is €171,559. Both country targets allow for fees estimated at 6% of gross donations. Delivery follows funding and practical arrangements.

Planned delivery
Digital-learning equipment, solar backup and women’s education are part of the current programme plans. Internet connections will depend on lawful availability, local infrastructure and funding. These plans are not claims of completed installations.
How we work
We assess needs with local contacts, source appropriate materials locally where possible, deliver in person and report what was delivered. Future deliveries are intended to include itemised expenditure and handover records.
