Donation terms

School Aid donation terms.

Plain terms for anyone donating to School Aid MTÜ — what your gift funds, how payments and receipts work, and how to stop a monthly gift.

1 · Who you are giving to

Every gift goes to a registered Estonian charity.

Donations made through this website are received by School Aid MTÜ, an Estonian non-profit association (mittetulundusühing), register code 80646408, registered at Harju maakond, Tallinn, Kesklinna linnaosa, Juhkentali tn 8-4, 10132, Estonia. Our registration can be checked independently in the Estonian e-Business Register.

Our stated purpose is educational support for children in need. Every gift is applied to that purpose.

2 · What your gift funds

Programme delivery — the equipment and getting it there.

School Aid is volunteer-led. As in any small charity, our running costs are met from donations; we keep them low, and the rest goes to programme delivery — the equipment itself, and the transport, logistics and local costs of putting it into classrooms.

Where you choose a specific appeal or country, we apply your gift to that programme. If an appeal is fully funded, or if circumstances on the ground make delivery impossible or unsafe, we will apply your gift to the closest comparable use within the same purpose rather than leave it idle, and we will say so in the reporting for that appeal.

From our planned October 2026 delivery, we will publish a “where your money went” report after each delivery, with photographs, delivery records and budget. We do not promise a single marketing overhead ratio; we report what actually reached the classroom.

3 · How payments are taken

Regulated rails only.

Online donations are processed by Donorbox with Stripe as the payment processor. Your card details are handled entirely by those processors and never touch School Aid’s own servers. Charitable funds are held and moved through Wise Business.

Donations are taken in euro (EUR). If you give in another currency, your bank or card issuer sets the exchange rate and may add its own fee; School Aid does not control or receive any part of that.

Your card or bank statement will show SCHOOL AID DONATION. If you see a charge you do not recognise, please contact us before contacting your bank — we can almost always resolve it faster.

4 · Receipts

Every gift is receipted.

You receive a receipt by email for every donation, issued automatically when the payment succeeds. If a receipt does not arrive, check your spam folder first, then write to admin@school-aid.eu and we will reissue it.

School Aid MTÜ has been entered on the Estonian Tax and Customs Board register of associations benefiting from income-tax incentives, by decision of 17 August 2026 (ref. 12.2-6/00115-2). Entry takes effect on 1 September 2026.

This means gifts made on or after 1 September 2026 by Estonian resident taxpayers may be deducted, subject to the statutory limits — €1,200 per year, shared with training expenses, and no more than 50% of taxable income. Estonian companies may give within the limits in § 49 of the Income Tax Act. Gifts made before 1 September 2026 fall outside the relief, and gifts from outside Estonia are not tax-deductible: we cannot offer UK Gift Aid or a US 501(c)(3) receipt. Please check your own position with the Tax and Customs Board or your accountant rather than relying on this page.

5 · Monthly giving — and how to stop it

Cancel whenever you like.

If you choose a monthly gift, the same amount is taken on or around the same date each month until you stop it. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.

  • Use your Donorbox account. Open your recurring plan to manage or cancel future payments. Donorbox emails account setup information when you start a recurring gift.
  • Or simply write to us at admin@school-aid.eu. We will cancel it and confirm by email. We will not ask you why, and we will not try to talk you out of it.

Cancelling stops all future payments. Please allow one working day either side of your payment date, since a payment already submitted to your bank cannot be recalled.

Refund requests

If you believe your donation was unauthorised, duplicated or made in error, contact action@school-aid.eu within 14 calendar days of the payment to request a refund. Requests will be reviewed and verified.

Requests received after that period will be considered only where required by applicable law. This policy does not limit your statutory rights.

6 · Your data

Minimally collected, never sold.

We collect only what is needed to process your gift, issue your receipt and keep proper accounts. We do not sell, rent or trade donor data. Full detail — including our lawful bases, retention periods, security practices and your GDPR rights — is in our Privacy & Data Protection policy.
